The Digestive Tea is wonderful for alleviating bloating and improving digestion. It also tastes delicious and is very soothing. Feel free to adjust it as needed and add honey or any other sweetener you prefer. Keep in mind that peppermint can cause acid reflux in some people, so omitting it from the recipe will not diminish its digestive benefits. Enjoy!

Prep Time/Cook Time:10 minutes 

Yields: 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers
  • ½ teaspoon of lightly crushed fennel seeds
  • three to four ¼ inch thick slices of fresh ginger
  • slice of fresh lemon
  • 8 oz of just boiling water

Directions:

Place all the ingredients in a small teapot or mug and pour boiling water over them. Cover the pot and let it steep for at least 10 minutes. Strain the tea and enjoy it sweetened or unsweetened.
